Info - It's been a year ...
The last three years I've been struggeling with an illness called myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) (also called Systemic exertion intolerance disease/SEID). It is a nevrological condition with a lot of symptoms; fatigue, muscle pain, severe headaches and "brain fog" being some. They don't know for sure what's causing it, and there is no cure at the moment. Some will get better, but it can take many years.
For me the main aim these years has been to stabilize the condition, I.E. not to become worse. One very unfortunate part of this, is to stay away from The Sims, and other computer games for that matter. In addition to the general fatigue, I have problems processing information ("brain fog" and other cognitive symptoms), so reading and writing is much more difficult for me than before. Since I've also become supersensitive to any kind of bright light (sunlight or the light from computers or cell phones), I'm sure you understand why I'm not able to neither play nor create for my beloved simmies at the moment.
That said, I still have a meaningful, happy life. I have my family and friends close by, I'm able to do simple things in the house (many with ME can't), and I get to meditate a lot! :) I'm also confident that it wont be like this forever, so one day I might open the game again!
All the best to all of you and happy simming!
